Natalie has a BA Hons degree in printed textile design and worked for 10 years in the furnishing trade. She worked on designing and colouring in house collections, as well as unique designs for customers such as Marks & Spencer and John Lewis.
Since the birth of her three children and the growth of her family Natalie has concentrated on her own style, private commissions & exhibitions. Further training has taken her into education of young children, also running art activity weeks and workshops for adults..
Natalies work has been greatly influenced by traditional floral patterns & the decorative aspects of design. She uses a combination of media with simple printing methods (screen, lino, block) & layers images together to create individual collaged pieces.
With the growth of her family and as the children’s lives overlap with her own Natalie discovers that nursery rhymes, toys, fabrics and family holidays all mingle and find themselves in her work.
